RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE & PAYMENT OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND CHARGING STATION FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AS PER AWARDED "CREST" GRANT

WHEREAS

• the Village of Red Hook was awarded an $80,000 Community Resiliency, Economic Sustainability, and Technology ("CREST") grant through State Senator Hinchey's office in late August 2023, and
• the full approval for the grant from the DASNY, the Grant Administrator, was received on May 24, 2024 with their authorization to proceed.

RESOLVED

• the Village Board of Trustees authorizes Lt. Hildenbrand to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle and related equipment and supporting infrastructure including the charging station as laid out in the grant, and
• the Mayor is authorized to approve payment for the grant items up to the grant amount of $80,000 with corresponding vouchers available for Board review and approval at the next available Board meeting.
