Village of Red Hook – Water Phase II – rural Development Project budget/cost certification (Form E) – update

Resolution #11-2016 — 2016-05-09

WHEREAS

  • the Village of Red Hook generated its original form E on July 14, 2014 with the project budget amount of $3.8 million
  • the Form E includes expense lines for legal and bookkeeping/Reporting Cost, among all of the other costs
  • the original intent was to utilize one law firm, McCabe and Mack LLC working legal aspects for contract issues but the Village also needed a second firm to work on land use/boundary issues
  • the Village selected Rodenhausen/Chale for the land use and boundary legal work
  • the project demands detailed record keeping work and complex filing which exceeds time available from regular staff so also needs the services of Doris Balacic-Schueing to do this work

RESOLVED

  • that the Village Board authorizes an update of the original Form E to insert the two legal firms under the legal budget line and the record keeper named above in the bookkeeping/reporting budget line. This does not increase the project costs or budget.
